GUIDE

Flash the badge

  1. Open this page in Chrome or Edge on a desktop or laptop.
  2. For a fresh factory badge: hold the BOOT button, connect the USB cable to the laptop, then release BOOT when the badge serial port appears.
  3. For a previously flashed badge, connect it normally. If the port does not appear, reconnect it using the BOOT procedure above.
  4. Select Connect badge and install, then choose the badge serial port.
  5. Confirm the installation and keep the badge connected until Installation complete appears.

If flashing fails, disconnect the badge and repeat the steps while holding BOOT as you reconnect it.

SECURITY

Local and restricted

The flasher runs locally in your browser. It does not upload badge contents or serial communication to ROOTCON.

  • Serial access starts only after you press the install button and approve a browser prompt.
  • The site accepts only the firmware manifest hosted on this origin.
  • There is no firmware URL field, local binary upload, account system, analytics, or telemetry.
  • The installer refuses firmware builds that do not match the detected ESP chip family.
